Honourable Dakas Shan
Honourable Dakas Shan, National Vice Chairman, (North Central).
Theophilus Dakas Shan was born on July 10, 1959 in Jagatneong Village in Dokan Kasawa District, in Quaan Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State.
For his primary and secondary education, he attended Local Primary School, Dokan, Kaduna and St. Joseph Boys College, Vom, respectively.
Honourable Shan attended the Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin Ladi where he graduated with Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering.
He further attended Bayero University, Kano graduating with a post graduate diploma in management and a masters of Business Administration (MBA).
After his National Youth Service in Bendel State in 1984, he joined the services of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, and subsequently worked in the private sector at Giwarite Limited Kano and Aluminum Technology Company, Lagos.
Honourable Shan was a foundation member of the PDP from 1998 and his political career started when he was elected as a national delegate, in the 2002 National Convention that re-elected President Obasanjo as the flag bearer of the Party.
He was a two term Chairman of Quaan Pan Local Government between 2008 to 2014 and also was appointed by the then Governor Jonah Jang, as the Chairman, Local Government Management Committee from 2012 to 2013.
Honourable Shan is married to Barrister Julianna Shan, and they are blessed with children.
