Abdullahi Hussaini MaiBasira, National Financial Secretary
Abdullahi MaiBasira was born in 30th January 1983 in Minna, Niger State. For his Primary and Secondary education, he attended Air Force Primary and King’s College both in Lagos.
For his tertiary education, young Abdullahi attended Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto and the Federal University of Technology, Minna respectively, where he acquired Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Agricultural Economics.
He equally graduated from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, where he bagged a Masters Degree in Strategy and Security Administration.
Abdullahi MaiBasira also has a certificate in Investment promotion from the International Institute of Investment Promotion, Baden Switzerland.
MaiBasira began his involvement in politics as a student unionist and in 2004 was elected as the President of the Students Union of Faculty of Agriculture, Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto.
For NYSC, he served in Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), and was retained as a staff at the end of his service year.
On January 10, 2009, Governor Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu appointed him Special Assistant in the Niger State Price Monitoring and Due Process Office. He subsequently served in various capacities in Niger State Government.
Abdullahi MaiBasira was elected as PDP National Youth Leader at a Special Convention in 2013, making him the youngest member of National Working Committee (NWC).
At the PDP National Convention held in Abuja in December 9, 2017, he was elected as the National Financial Secretary of the Party.
He is happily married and blessed with four children.
