This is quite commendable, the party is right to apply the provisions of the constitution notwithstanding whose ox is gored and stop respecting persons no matter how highly placed they may be. No individual is greater than the party that brought him to power and the governor should stop dragging the reputation of PDP to the mud in utter admiration of the opposition parties whose comments so far has shown that they are feeding fat from the percieved crisis in the party. It serves him right. Long live Nigeria and long live lovers of democracy and good governance.
Dis Tukur nd President wnt 2 destroyed P.D.P nd if u dnt careful APC we come 2 took power out of P.D.P leave Ameachi alone
Anyone who wants to resist the Pope should not do so in Rome, else the rope would tie up that ones hope.
Countdown to Amaechi’s last 100 days in office!
Popcorn and coke in hand. Oya second base jare!
I said it earlier, these guys r just acting drama. The weaker the PDP internal democracy…the stronger the opposition party. I hope broda Joe is familiar with d ensuing dance steps of his masqurade come 2015.
am the national co-ordinator of the PDP NATIONAL SUPPORTERS FORUM AND THE FACILITATOR OF THE PDP GRASSROOT CANVASSARS. My thinking on the recent Governors Forum election is that effort should be made to allow superior situation to prevail. On no account should the situation be allowed to degenerate to the extent that the esprit de corps in the NGF will be undermined. Let superior position prevail.
The PDP has gone through worse times, the party usually comes out stronger. The reason is very simple. it is an umbrella to which all may shelter from the harshness of the sun and the pounding of the rain. It does not claim monopoly of wisdom or thought, but in the PDP you find, reconclie and loose yourself in its diversity while building genuine and warm friendship that speaks to all parts of the country and to all manner of persons. As a large family i hope the party finds a place in its heart to accomodate the present unfortunate impasse in River State even as we know that some mistakes have been made. As for Rivers People, we are politically very mature, sophisicated and proud not only to be led by President Goodluck Jonathan, but that we are considered by Nigeria to be a reliable beacon of trust and we are ready to follow the party in whatever direction it decides to move as we accelerates towards 2015.We where there with Chief Olusegun Obasonjo, We where also there Solidly behind our late President Umaru Yar Adua and we will be there for President Goodluck Jonathan should the party decide to give him the ticket again in appriciation of the quite, calm and amiable leadership he has given the Party and Nigeria under very challenging circumstances. Rivers people are usually at the Center of Nigerian Politices for understandable reasons, the Nation needs more of her people becoming true Citizens with Nigeria as their first and only Constituency. That is the PDP magic and nothing more. I know that His Excellency will seek reconcilation into the direction of the larger interest of the party and the Nation, afterall it has given you so much in terms of exposure and friendship. i urge you to hold it still while you can. We belief as you have said that you do not have any problem with Mr President and our Brother Chief Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike have also said so at home so many times. i doubt if he will also lie to us in the community. The court installed the Felix Obuah led Exco i doubt if there is anything anybody can do about it except the substantive Judgement is vacated on Appeal. We still rememeber how the supreme court made legal history with your case. The PDP took it in its stride welcomed you and never looked back. i urge you to retrace your step quickly, hoping that nothing is done to further get this matter to a point were reconcilation is made impossible. Thats my take.
“A proper democracy does not merely have
competitive elections; it also has rules for the
conduct of those elections: cheating gets
punished. A proper democracy also has checks
and balances that limit the power of a govt…..
~ Paul Collier..
With the turn of recent events, and the leadership that this party thinks it provides, Nigeria is worse off.. Nigerians should however be consoled, as 2015 will see the end of this behemoth.. The Nigerian people will speak at the polls…
The party can continue its journey of self destruction, as we wait at the brook while the water washes its remains past us..
