PDP Comforts Adamawa Governor Fintiri Over Father’s Death
The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and entire PDP family, commiserates with Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state over the painful passing of his highly revered father, Alhaji Umaru Badami.
The PDP is particularly pained that Alhaji Badami passed on at a time the nation and Adamawa state in particular needed his wise counsel and prayers the most.
Alhaji Badami was a patriot, who, as a soldier and community leader, made immense sacrifices and gave his best towards the unity, stability and growth of our dear nation. He was a devout Muslim, who lived an exemplary life and served as a great source of inspiration to the younger generation of leaders.
Though our party is heartbroken at the loss of this great Nigerian, we are comforted by the fact that he lived a fulfilled life and bequeathed to the nation another patriot and statesman in Governor Umaru Fintiri.
Governor Fintiri’s sense of humility, administrative skills, commitment to duty, loyalty to our dear fatherland, as well as his dedication to the wellbeing of the people of Adamawa state and Nigerians in general, speak volumes of the tutelage and values he derived from his father.
The PDP, therefore, condoles with Governor Fintiri and his family as well as the people of Adamawa state and prays that the Almighty God grant them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
